Driving from Kumasi to Koforidua
The route follows the N6 from Kumasi through Ejisu and Konongo to Nkawkaw, then through Anyinam and Bunso before turning off towards Koforidua, the capital of the Eastern Region.
Parts of the N6 are dual carriageway and parts are single lane each way, so slow trucks and overtaking are the main things to watch for.
Most of the delay is at the ends: getting out of Kumasi past Ejisu and entering Koforidua in the afternoon.
By bus or trotro

Tips for the trip

- Leave Kumasi early to arrive in Koforidua before the evening rush.
- Check the weather in the rainy season; heavy rain slows traffic on the single-lane sections.
